Fred Smeijers suggested also to tone down the tapering of the diagonals in characters such as K and R. I had unconciously made them (the thick diagonals) noticabley thinner at the top. I do this often times in a sans serif design, because our eyes have grown so accustomed to there being a serif — a proper grounding — at the baseline. Without it, the diagonal appears to be thinning towards the baseline.

Fred Smeijers’ main recommendations was to set the black style wider. It turned out too narrow in relation in my last try.
